I think this post's title says all that needs to be said. If you've followed my blog for any amount of time, you know that this post has been long coming. So here is the story: back in November the 3 of us headed down to Alexandria, VA and the district to do a little post wedding shoot for them. They had been married about a month and I wanted to try out a new camera. So we made a day of it.

I really like how you've played with focus in some of these. The subject is etched clearly into our sight, while the other details become abstractions that serve as a texture of light and color, which allows the line of your intended subject to become more defined. Notice how in one, even a secondary subject (Joe) becomes more abstract, thus less of an obstruction to the primary subject (Mandy), while still retaining a degree of definition in terms of mood as displayed in his facial expression. Bravo! Really liked it! There's a lot of growth here from pictures of flowers in a sea of background.
